Windham American 250 logo

Two hundred and fifty years ago, a group of bold, determined people changed the course of history. On July 4, 2026, we celebrate that moment and everything that has been built since.

America's Semiquincentennial isn't just a birthday, it's a once-in-a-generation opportunity to come together as a community, honor the stories of those who came before us, and celebrate the place we call home. Nesmith Library is proud to be part of Windham's yearlong celebration with programs and events for all ages. Whether you're a history buff, a curious newcomer, or just looking for a great reason to get out and explore Windham, we've got you covered.

Join us as we celebrate 250 years of freedom, community, and the enduring American story!
