šØ 2025 Summer Reading: Color Our Worldš
Join Nesmith Library this summer as we Color Our World with reading, creativity, and community fun! Our 2025 Summer Reading Program is packed with events, performances, raffles, and activities for children, teens, and adults. Check our event calendar for dates and times!
Weāve got three Summer Reading Programs in Beanstack. Curious which one to sign up for? Weāve got age groups for each!

- Teen Summer Reading: Grades 7-12
- Adult Summer Reading: Ages 16+
We know thereās some overlap in those groups, but thatās part of the fun! If you fall in one or more of those brackets, sign up for the Summer Reading Program that fits you best! We just ask that you onlyĀ sign up for one program.

- The big prize drawings take place at the end of the summer.
- We also have smaller prizes throughout Summer Reading. From weekly raffles for kids to program door prizes, you never know when you might win something!

- See our Library Cards & Lending information for details on who qualifies for a Nesmith Library card!
šĀ Children's Summer Reading
Weāre doing something a little different this year! Instead of tracking how many minutes you've read, you'll complete summer reading activities and mark them off on your Beanstack Bingo card!Ā
Curious how to mark off your activities?Ā
- Register for Children's Summer Reading through Beanstack.Ā
- Once registered, visit theĀ BadgesĀ tab to check off the activities you've completed!Ā
- There's so many fun activities to complete! Anything from wearing blue to a program, or reading outside earns you raffle tickets toward exciting prizes!Ā
- By the way, have you met SherBert, our Summer Reading mascot??Ā
We know some of you might want to still track your reading. For this interested, we can provide anĀ optionalĀ reading log! Filling out the optional reading lotĀ does notĀ earn raffle tickets.Ā
š¶ļø Teen Summer Reading
Weāve moved our Summer Reading registration entirely to Beanstack this year. But donāt worry, the Teen SRP Prize Cabinet isnāt going anywhere! Weāre still offering the chance to earn Book Bucks.
- Earn Book Bucks by reading and reviewing books.
- Write a short review (2ā3 sentences) showing you read a reading level appropriate book.
- Complete a Book Buck with your info and submit it to a librarian.
- You'll get to pick a prize and your Book Buck will be entered into our end-of-summer raffle!
šØā𦳠Adult Summer Reading
Not a smartphone user? Donāt have an email address? Thatās okay! You can still participate!
Adults who need to keep it analog can register in person and track your reading on paper:
- Visit the front desk to sign up.
- Fill out raffle slips as you finish books and place them in our raffle baskets.
- Winners will be drawn from both digital and paper participants.
