If you live or own property in Windham, NH, you're eligible for a free library card! That includes people who own business property in Windham!

Kids can get their own card starting at age five with a parent or guardian. Just visit Nesmith Library with your ID or proof of address to sign up.

Yes! If you are not eligible for a free card under our policy, you may register for a non-resident library card at a cost of $75 for a full year.

Yes! As part of the GMILCS Consortium, Nesmith Library cardholders can visit and even check out items at other GMILCS libraries, which include:

 - Amherst Town Library
 - Bedford Public Library
 - Danforth Library (New England College)
 - Derry Public Library
 - Goffstown Public Library
 - Hooksett Public Library
 - Kelley Library (Salem)
 - Leach Library (Londonderry)
 - Manchester City Library
 - Merrimack Public Library
 - Nesmith Library (Windham)
 - Rodgers Memorial Library (Hudson)
 - Wadleigh Memorial Library (Milford)

Here are some important details:

 - As a Nesmith Library cardholder, there are some items you will not be permitted to check out at other GMILCS libraries. You will not be able to use another library's museum passes, Library of Things, and other special items prohibited by the lending library.
 - Policies of the lending library prevail -- meaning any fines, fees, check out limits, or other policies are set by the lending library.
 - Materials may be returned to any participating library, unless specified they must be returned to the lending library (like our puzzles!).
 - No renewals are allowed on materials which have holds on them.

If you are looking for something specific, please call the library to verify lending policies and hours.

When you get your library card, your PIN is set to be the last 4 numbers of your phone number by default.

If you signed up for a temporary library card online, you set the PIN when you registered.

Can't remember your PIN? Give us a call at (603) 432-7154. We can reset your PIN over the phone!

The Friends of the Library of Windham rely on book donations to stock the annual book sales! We're grateful for the generous contributions from our community that keep the book fairs well stocked. Sadly, due to storage constraints, we are unable to accept book donations daily, but we do accept donations at select times throughout the year.

Nesmith Library is pleased to offer discount passes to local museums and attractions, thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Library of Windham.

Passes can be reserved online, by phone (603-432-7154), or in person at the library. Please only reserve one pass per family per week.

Most passes are date specific. Be sure to verify the date you're going before booking your pass!

Passes should be picked up within one week of the date of use. The library card used to reserve the pass is required to be presented at pick up.

The short answer is that it depends on the program!

Many of our Children's programs require registration with your Nesmith Library card. We try to specify which ones in the description of the event, just to be as clear as possible.

Log into your library: select your country, state, library, and enter your library card number (also called your barcode) and PIN. Click agree to terms and log in.

We sure do! We have free wi-fi for use within and outside the library! Our wi-fi signal reaches our benches and tables outside, as well as into the upper parking lot.

We have a printer and copier for public use! We have all the options, cost, and more information on our Computers, Printing, and Copying page.

Unfortunately, we do not have a fax machine.

Our two small study rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis, for two-hours at a time, and cannot be reserved in advance.

Four study pods are located throughout the library, providing a quiet space for an individual or two to study. These can also be used for up to two hours at a time.
