Your support helps Nesmith Library continue to be a vibrant resource for the Windham community. Contributions from generous individuals and institutions allow us to expand collections, offer engaging programs, and enhance our facilities. Every gift—big or small—helps us provide exceptional services and resources to our patrons.
Ways to Give
Make a Contribution
You don’t need to make a long-term commitment to make a lasting impact. Your donation supports our mission of enriching lives through educational, cultural, and technological programs. Every dollar helps us bring more books, services, and programs to the community.
Recurring Donations
Consider spreading your generosity throughout the year with a recurring donation. This convenient giving option allows you to make an ongoing impact with smaller, manageable contributions that help sustain the library’s growth.
Planned Giving: Leave a Legacy
Create a lasting impact by including Nesmith Library in your estate and financial plans. Planned giving ensures that future generations benefit from the resources and opportunities the library provides.
- Remember the Library in Your Will – Easily include Nesmith Library in your estate plan.
- Charitable Gift Annuity – Make a meaningful gift and receive lifetime payments.
- Charitable Trusts – Provide for both your heirs and the library in a tax-advantaged way.
- Other Planned Gifts – Designate the library as a beneficiary of your retirement plan, life insurance, or financial accounts.
Honor and Memorial Gifts
Celebrate a loved one’s legacy or mark a special occasion with an honor or memorial gift. Books, furnishings, or other contributions can be dedicated with a memorial bookplate or plaque. Gifts may also be directed to special programs or initiatives in alignment with the library’s mission.
For a lasting tribute, consider participating in the Named Fund Program.
The Nesmith Library Named Fund: Creating a Legacy
The Named Fund Program is a permanent fund that allows donors to honor or memorialize an individual or organization while making a lasting impact on the community.
- Requires a minimum contribution of $1,000 (can be added to over time).
- An item will be purchased in recognition of the initial donation, and the honoree’s name will be displayed at the library.
- Income generated from the fund supports library acquisitions that benefit the public.
- Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
