FLOW Book Donation Dates: October 3 to 10AM to 3:30 PM, October 4 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM, October 24 from 10 AM to 3:30 PM, October 25 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM

One of the most common questions we receive is: "Do you accept book donations?"

The Friends of the Library of Windham (FLOW) greatly appreciates donations from the community to help stock our annual book sales. These sales directly support library programs and services, and we couldn’t do it without your generosity!

However, due to our limited space, we are unable to accept book donations on a daily basis. Instead, we hold designated donation periods throughout the year.

How to Donate
FLOW will be accepting donations on the following dates: 

  • Saturday, October 3 from 10 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Sunday, October 4 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM 
  • Saturday, October 24 from 10 AM to 3:30 PM 
  • Sunday, October 25 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM 
  • Sunday, November 8 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM
  • Saturday, November 14 from 10 AM to 3:30 PM 
  • Sunday, November 15 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM

We also ask that donated items be in good condition—no mold, stains, or other damage. Unfortunately, we cannot accept damaged books, encyclopedias, outdated textbooks, or certain other materials. A full list of accepted and unaccepted items is available here.

Important Donation Guidelines
To ensure a smooth donation process, please:

  • Bring donations only during designated collection times.
  • Do not leave books at the library entrance or in the book drop, as we cannot properly process them this way.
