In 2024, we highlighted our staff in the Nesmith News with staff profiles. Molly's profile is below so you can learn a little more about her!
If you’ve been part of Nesmith Library’s storytimes or youth programs, you probably already know Molly Pevna! Since joining the library in 2019 as Youth Services Librarian, Molly has been a friendly and familiar face to many young readers.
Now, as Teen Services Librarian & Collections Specialist, Molly focuses on creating exciting programs for grades 4-12 and leading long-term projects that enhance the library. One of her biggest ongoing projects is the revitalization of the Heidenblad History Room, where she’s working to preserve some of the library’s oldest materials—including a catalog from 1890—and improve the space for research and exploration.
Molly’s journey to librarianship started in an unexpected place—the pool! She was a lifeguard and swim instructor before diving into the library world, where she discovered her passion for making libraries welcoming and accessible for everyone. Now, as a Collections Specialist, she’s committed to ensuring Nesmith Library’s collections serve the entire community.
Stop by and say hi—Molly is always happy to chat about books, programs, and all things library! 😊
