Leach is joining GMILCS!
What does this mean?
Starting Monday, October 28, Leach Library's collection will be available in the catalog like other GMILCS libraries.
Part of adding their catalog means other GMILCS library catalogs will have limited availability from Monday, October 21, to Wednesday, October 23.
- Nesmith Library's catalog will be unavailable to place holds, renew items, or check out any digital materials from Monday, October 21, until Wednesday, October 23.
- Library cards are required to check out materials this week. We will be unable to look up your library card number!
- Need your card number? Visit us with a photo ID before October 21 and we'll be able to provide you your card number.
- Our public computers and wireless internet are available as usual, and we will be open our normal hours.
Can I go to Leach Library and check out items?
You can! Just like other GMILCS libraries, you will be able to use your Nesmith Library card to check out books, DVDs, and other select materials in person at Leach Library starting Monday, October 28.
Will I be able to use their museum passes?
Unfortunately no. Museum passes. online databases, and Library of Things items are only available to that specific library's patrons. Some library's may restrict other materials as well. It's always best to check with us, or the library you want to borrow from.
How long can I check things out?
Each GMILCS library sets its own individual policies for borrowing, fines, and renewals. Other GMILCS library's may have different borrowing limits, length, and autorenwal for their items. They may also restrict access to check out certain materials (such as museum passes and Library of Things items).
