One of the most common questions we receive is: "Do you accept book donations?"
The Friends of the Library of Windham (FLOW) greatly appreciates donations from the community to help stock our annual book sales. These sales directly support library programs and services, and we couldn’t do it without your generosity!
However, due to our limited space, we are unable to accept book donations on a daily basis. Instead, we hold designated donation periods throughout the year.
How to Donate
Before bringing in your donations, please check the dates and times for our next donation period at flowwindham.org or on FLOW's Facebook page.
We also ask that donated items be in good condition—no mold, stains, or other damage. Unfortunately, we cannot accept damaged books, encyclopedias, outdated textbooks, or certain other materials. A full list of accepted and unaccepted items is available here.
Important Donation Guidelines
To ensure a smooth donation process, please:
- Bring donations only during designated collection times.
- Do not leave books at the library entrance or in the book drop, as we cannot properly process them this way.
We appreciate your help in making our book sales a success. Thank you for supporting FLOW and Nesmith Library!
