What would you do if you were walking along the beach and found a stranded seal? The Seacoast Science Center gave an informative presentation about seals and how we can take care of them. Children learned about the four kinds of seals we have in New Hampshire. The presenter, Miss Sarah, is an actual volunteer who responds to calls about stranded seals! She talked with the children about what to look for and how to respond. The children even pretended to be volunteers themselves! Remember, Nesmith Library card holders can visit the Seacoast Science Center in Rye, NH for free by borrowing a museum pass from the circulation desk.
