Kick Off the Summer with Mentalist Christopher Grace
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, June 28 at 1pm when we kick off the Teen Summer Reading Program. Be amazed by Mentalist Christopher Grace. following the show teens can build their own Sundae. Door prize lottery tickets and bonus book bucks offered to all who attend! We’ll announce our “Get Your Head into a Good Book” raffle. A full length SAT practice test will be offered at the Nesmith Library on Monday August 24th.

Registration is required and will open on Monday, July 27th
Our spelling bee is registered with Scripps and classified as a “school wide” local competition; the champion speller from this competition will advance to the state championships in Concord, NH on February 25, 2017. Upon registration, you will receive access to study materials provided by Scripps. The bee will be hosted by the Hoosksett Public library this year.

The NH Astronomical Society will be holding a winter skywatch for all ages on Monday, December 29th from 6-8pm.

Looking for something fun to do over the school vacation? Come join us for fun, food, drinks and good reading. The Nesmith Library is sponsoring a teen Read-a-Thon to benefit the Shepherd’s Pantry on Friday, December 30th. Teens age 12-19 can drop in anytime between 12 and 4pm for a bite to eat and spend some time reading to raise money for charity. Read books, magazines, e-books, comics—anything you want! Just READ!! Stay for a half hour or the entire 4 hours. It’s up to you.
