POSTPONED: FLOW Scholarships Informational Meeting

Friends of the Library of Windham (FLOW)

As of 3/13/2020: The Nesmith Library will suspend all library programs and meeting room usage through March, so this program has been postponed. We take this step out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of our patrons and staff, and will be further evaluating the situation as it evolves. Please continue to check this page, or follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for further updates. Thank you for your patience.

The Friends of the Library of Windham (F.L.O.W.) is pleased to announce that it will be awarding four distinct scholarships for a total amount of $8,000; two are for high school seniors working toward a 4 year degree at a college or university, one is for a high school senior going to a community college or trade school, and the final scholarship is for a non-traditional student returning to school after a gap of 5 or more years.

The recipients of the F.L.O.W. 2020 Annual Scholarships will be awarded funds to use toward tuition, the purchase of books, and any other supplies needed to further their education. This is a one-time award, not an annual recurring one. Scholars may only receive it once. Attend these informational sessions on Sunday, March 15, 2 PM and Wednesday, March 18 at 6:30 PM at the Nesmith Library to learn more about each scholarship!

Applications are due by April 1, 2020. Scholarship winners will be announced at the Windham High School Scholarship Night.

Parents and students may also be interested in our Stand Out in the College Admissions Process program, Monday, March 23, 6:30 PM with College Admissions Counselor, Nancy Steenson!
