Freshen Up Your Digital Reading!

Freshen up your digital reading! Nesmith Library cardholders can access three digital reading services by signing in with your library card: Libby (shared with all NH Libraries), Cloudlibrary (shared with the GMILCS consortium), and Hoopla (Nesmith Library only).

Remember to check Cloudlibrary when Libby has long holds lists, or Hoopla doesn't have the item you are looking for! Often you can find items available with lower or zero wait times, and a dedicated group of librarians from the thirteen GMILCS libraries maintains the Cloudlibrary collection each week to add new materials and to keep holds ratios low!

A hold ratio measures the total number of people who have placed a hold on an ebook or audiobook, as compared to the number of copies that our collection has available. We license copies of digital items from publishers just like we purchase copies of print books, except we own the print books on an ongoing basis. The copies of digital materials will expire based on a length of time, or a certain number of checkouts, as determined by the publisher. Our digital collection is constantly changing and being refreshed, and we welcome your questions and feedback about what you would like to read on Cloudlibrary.
