Sidewalk Chalk Art!

 Feeling creative, teens? Grab a some chalk and draw a masterpiece on the library's sidewalks. We'll provide images to work from, or draw from your imagination! Space and sky themed works are what we're looking for to go with the Summer Reading theme of "A Universe of Stories." Chalk will be provided, just bring your ideas!

This program is for ages 12 - 18 or those entering grades 6 - 12.

No registration is required.

Teen Live Clue!

Have you ever played the board game, Clue? This live action role playing game brings all the excitement and fun of the game to life as you try to solve the murder of Mr. Boddy. Pizza will be served, so bring a friend and test your deductive reasoning skills!

This program is for ages 12 - 18 or those entering grades 6 - 12.

Launch into a Good Book!

This special program will be running for two weeks, from June 24th until July 10th. Visit our YA area where the wrapped books are on display. You won't know the title of the book, but read the short description posted on each wrapping,and pick one to read. Inside the wrapping is a Book Buck and a raffle ticket for a special raffle just for participants of this program.

This program is for ages 12 - 18 or those going into grades 6 - 12. No registration is required.

Out of this World Teen Summer Kick off with Mentalist Christopher Grace

Mark your calendars for Monday, June 24 at 1pm when we kick off the Teen Summer Reading Program.  Be amazed by Mentalist Christopher Grace. Show will begin after summer program registration. Door prize raffles, snacks, and bonus book bucks offered to all who attend!  We’ll announce our “Launch into a Good Book” raffle. New Hampshire Astronomical Society Skywatch - RESCHEDULED!

Due to forecasted cloud cover, we will be holding this event on our rain date, Thursday, August 8th at 7:30pm!

Join us as the New Hampshire Astronomical Society brings the secrets of the night sky to us! We will begin inside with a short program on the stars and then we'll move outside to observe the night sky. You may want to bring bug spray and a folding chair.

Fueling for a Busy Day: Advice from a Nutritionist

Licensed Registered Dietitian, Noreen Gallo of Your Forever Nutrition Counseling, will be here with basic nutrition facts and tips for fueling the body for a busy work or school day. Think quick and healthy snacks and lunches!

Preserving Your Harvest: The Basics of Food Preservation Safety

Rescheduled from June 5th!

Have you ever thought about preserving or drying foods but were afraid of making your family ill with food poisoning? Join us on Monday, August 5th at 6pm when Ann Hamilton, Food Safety Field Specialist at the UNH Cooperative Extension, talks about food preservation safety. In this introductory class, Ann will cover the latest research-based methods and recipes, and share her knowledge about preserving food safely at home. She will also discuss using boiling water canners, using pressure canners, and freezing and drying food.
