Nesmith Library Board Trustee Minutes

July 13, 2004

Present: Shirley Beaulieu, Chair, Joan Griffin, Vice-Chair, Sharon Scannell, Treasurer, Chris Monterio, Assistant Treasurer, Mary Lee Underhill, Recording Secretary, Pat Skinner, Correspondence Secretary, and Carl Heidenblad, Director. Excused: Lorraine Bain, Member.

Shirley called the meeting to order at 7:07 pm.

Minutes: The minutes of the June 15 meeting were accepted as written.

NEW BUSINESS:

This meeting was called for the purpose of discussing opening the Library on Sundays in the fall.

Carl presented an outline of the proposed hours of operation and a time table for the recruitment, selection and training of three part-time Library Associates.

MOTION: was made my Mary Lee and seconded

That the Director’s proposal for opening the Library for four hours on Sundays starting in late September be accepted as written.

The motion passed unanimously.

OTHER BUSINESS:

The Personnel Committee will meet to re-write the form for the Director’s Performance Appraisal.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 10.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:28 pm.
