Space has become more of an issue as the years go by.....

New Shelving was welcome in the Children's Room in June, 2008, but it supplanted several tables and game computers.

Additional shelving was added a few years after the library opened to accommodate more magazines, and to hold the growing Young Adult Collection. The Library looks forward to serving more Teens when the new High School opens in the Fall, 2009.

Our Youth Services Librarian works in an area nearly as compressed as the "compact shelving" (used to hold back issues of magazines and newspapers) behind her.

Ten of the library's 16 staff members work out of this space.

Before, during, and after children's programming,

the Children's Room bustles even more.

When the library moved into this building 11 years ago, the top and bottom shelves were empty!  Now our patrons make good use of their knees and the library step stools!

In August, 2009, more shelving was added to relieve the overcrowded music CD area, to accommodate the growing Young Adult collection, and to house more Speculative Fiction . Thanks, again, to FLOW for their generosity!
