February vacation!


Faberge Eggs with Kristine Brock ~ PHOTOS

On Tuesday, February 25th starting at 10:30am, Kristine Brock will lead a class on the art of Peter Carl Faberge and students will create a decorative egg in his style to bring home.  Participants will paint on wooden eggs with acrylic paints and adorn their finished creations with sparkly jewels. 


This program is for children ages 5 and up, and registration is required.  Space is limited so please call the library at 432-7154 or stop by the front circulation desk to reserve a spot.


Keith Munslow: Songs and Stories, Cartoons and Comedy ~ PHOTOS

On Wednesday, February 26th at 10:30am, the Nesmith Library is proud to welcome musician and improv artist, Keith Munslow.  Keith is an award-winning performer who combines music, storytelling, visual art, and improvisation.  He has entertained thousands of children and adults at performing arts centers, festivals, schools and libraries throughout New England - and beyond.


Keith's highly interactive show will delight everyone with a unique mix of funny and original songs and stories, tongue-twisting poems, oddball characters and on-the-spot cartoon drawing.  Keith's rhythmic piano, skillful drawing and quick wit combine for an upbeat, positive experience with lots of audience participation.


This program is for children in grades K – 5, and registration is required.  Please call the library at 432-7154 to reserve a spot.

Rainbow Loom and Beading Bonanza! ~ PHOTOS



The children’s room invites you to drop in anytime between 10:30am and 12:00pm on Thursday, February 27th for a rainbow loom band program.  We ask that you bring your own loom if you have one and we will provide an assortment of rainbow colored bands and beads to make your own jewelry.  Don’t worry if you have never tried to create one, we will have people on hand to assist you!  This craft session is recommended for ages 5 and up and a parent or guardian must accompany children.  No registration is required.
