Mime and Comedy Show starring Robert Rivest!
On Wednesday, April 24th at 11:00am
Critics have written that “Robert Rivest is one of the most prolific mime artists in the world”. Mr. Rivest has presented over 5,000 performances in 11 countries in Europe, Africa, and across the United States. A student of Marcel Marceau, Robert trained for over 10 years with internationally renowned masters of mime, dance, theater, and improvisation.
Founded on the upcoming 2013 summer reading program theme, “Dig into Reading” this show is a quick moving, fun-filled program that unearths the joys of reading and summertime. Audiences of all ages "dig" how Robert brings his favorite "underground" stories to life before their eyes: from a pirate digging for gold, to a paleontologist excavating fossils, to a child building an elaborate sand castle at the beach. Robert celebrates what he loves about mime and reading while encouraging audience members to become "deeper" readers. This fun, interactive program allows the audience to learn mime, play, and have a great time at their library.
Please join us for one of the most captivating shows you will ever experience! Robert’s show entertains parents as much as it does children with his unique mixture of mime and comedy.
This performer requests that the age of his audience be children ages 5 and up. Space is limited to the multi-purpose room and registration is required. Please stop by the front circulation desk or call the library at 432-7154 to register.
