February Vacation Fun

Take a break from the cold and shoveling, and come warm up at the library during February school vacation!

If you are 6 years of age or older, sign up to try your luck at Bingo on Tuesday, February 23rd at 10:30am

We will play multiple games so everyone will have a chance to win and bring home a book of their choice!

Ask your friends to sign up with you and try your good fortune together playing Bingo.

Don’t worry if you have never played the game before, we will be happy to assist you with your card.

Following the games, snacks and beverages will be provided.

This program is for children ages 6 and up, and registration is required.  Please call the library at 432-7154 or stop by the front circulation desk to register.

DROP-IN CRAFT : A Touch of Spring!

Children poured into the library on this rainy/snowy day to enjoy a Springtime Craft!

The children’s room invites you to drop in anytime between 1:00 and 3:00pm on Wednesday, February 24th for

a “Touch of Spring” drop-in craft decorating your own flower pot.

Potting soil and seeds will be provided to begin a new flower or vegetable life of your choice!  Materials will be available between 1:00 and 3:00pm, or while supplies last.  Although children of any age may participate, this craft is recommended for children ages 4 and up accompanied by a parent or guardian.

NO registration is required.  Simply join us in the multipurpose room on Wednesday afternoon!

COOKING WITH KIDS

Looking for something fun and different to do over school vacation?

Kathleen Schader, registered licensed dietitian, will lead a cooking class on

Thursday, February 25th starting at 11:00am.   This program is for children 7 years of age or older

and will feature demonstrations and food samplings of a variety of snacks and appetizers.  Due the nature of the program, although no nuts or peanut oils will be directly used in the products, parents of allergy sensitive children should be aware that there may be peanut traces in certain ingredients.

Space is limited, and registration is required.  To reserve one of the spots, please

call the library at 432-7154 or register at the front circulation desk.

We hope you'll come by over vacation to enjoy one of our programs or to check out some new books, CDs, and movies to make your week more enjoyable!
